Fountain Pen Review: Esterbrook Estie Pink Sands
By now, the Esterbrook Pen Company has introduced a number of Estie pen models in two sizes (regular, oversize) and various materials. In November 2021, Esterbrook delighted fountain pen lovers and fans with the release of their first limited edition pink fountain pen called Pink Sands. The all-pink fountain pen is inspired by the pink beaches in Greece, Indonesia, and the Bahamas, and it is a gorgeous coral pink with the proprietary all-pink nib designed in collaboration with Hinze Pen Co.
Ten Pens that will stand out under your christmas tree
I don’t know about you, but the holidays seem to be approaching much faster this year. Perhaps it has something to do with now being vaccinated, so I am antsy to travel. Perhaps it is simply something to look forward to in the doldrums of winter. In any case, Hanukkah is this week and Christmas is a month away. And if you are a procrastinator (like me), then this may be a bit of a scary thought. Luckily for you, I’ve put together a list of ten brands that would make excellent gifts this month. Each of these brands have a certain cachet that’s fit for a corporate gift or a girlfriend (and maybe something for yourself, too).
THINKING OF GETTING A LUXURY FOUTAIN PEN? HERE ARE 5 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD
Before I understood that luxury pens existed, I was constantly trying to find a pen that would work for my specific needs. I was like Goldilocks and the local office supply store was the bears’ house. I would grab a pen and think, “No, this one is too small.” I’d grab another, “No, this one is too thick.” Ultimately, I would get frustrated, buy one that was on sale, and hope it would work. It never did. Instead, I spent years writing with Sharpies, felt tip markers, Bics, and even the occasional mechanical pencil. I had this almost Platonic ideal of what a pen should be and somehow it was simply not within my grasp (pun intended).
Confession: I was Penabled
The pen industry has a term for phenomenon when one is persuaded to buy that pen or this nib. “You have to get it!” the chorus of Instagram comments say. “What’s one more?” “That’ll look great with your collection!” You’ve most likely seen this happen, or perhaps it’s happened to you, too. It’s known as “penabling”. While this is a common quirk among the pen community, I have seen first-hand how it can grow into a global movement. I

ESTERBROOK X ACCUTRON: THE COLLABORATION CONTINUES WITH NEW ESTIES, INCLUDING AN OVERSIZE!
When we last looked at the collaboration between American “heritage” brands Esterbrook and Accutron, it was limited to a special edition Esterbrook Camden fountain pen in a gorgeous green shade. Recently, Esterbrook and Accutron have followed up with two new limited edition Estie fountain pens in green and gold DiamondCast material, in both standard and oversized versions. All feature details such as the Accutron “tuning fork” logo on the cap and nib that set these pens apart from the standard Esterbrook lineup.
INKED HAPPINESS: Kenro Industries and the retelling of the Esterbrook Story!
Kenro Industry’s key man – Bryan Hulser is a legend in the contemporary world of writing instruments. Not only is he the ultimate sales person capable of highlighting the USP of a brand to an extent that it reaches the must-have state of being, but is also capable of recounting the yarns that create the narrative – the aura around a brand that helps it make the transition to the next level. Here in an exclusive with Inked Happiness, he talks about Kenro Industries and its plans about the iconic brand Esterbrook.
MACCHIATO MAN: ESTERBROOK INK REVIEW
Recently, Esterbrook released their initial set of inks. This set of nine inks I have split into two overview posts this first post has a rather traditional set of inks; they have a vintage feel and wouldn't be out of place in a vintage Esterbrook lineup. This first part has Cobalt Blue, Ebony, Evergreen, and Scarlet.
